Formation of Indian Haiku Club:
Indian Haiku Club has a pioneering place in the literary service programmes. It has been functioning with chief objectives of Literar programmes organization literary and cultural. Well known poet and critic Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj is the founding president of the club.
Before coming to Anakapalli,for job,Dr.Prithvi RAj has already written two Haiku collections namely “Vennela” and “Chinukulu”. Later he published three collections of Haiku poetry namely “Vasantham”,”Rojuko Suryudu…” and “Neelaakaasam” to inspire poets in Anakapalle and around, he started for the first time Haiku collections. The first such collection is “Nelavanka” Sri Ganapathiraju Chandrashekara Raju,Madhavi Sanara,Emmidisetti Chakrapani,Pinakini,Acharya Ganapathi Raju Narasimha Raju,G.Ranga Babu have contributed to the collection. In April2002 ‘Neelavanka’was published by Haiku Club publication to Indian Haiku Club.
Objectives of Indian Haiku Club:
To create awareness about Haiku Poetry among poets of different orientation. To functions as a platform for the popularization of Haiku poetry. To encourage best Haiku poetry, Instinct Haiku awards. To conduct ‘Kavisammelanas’ so that poets can hear what other are achieving in Haiku poetry. To encourage young poets to bring collections, monthly magazine to conduct Haiku workshops every year. All in all to encourage Haiku poetry, to produce new Haiku poets is the goal of Indian Haiku Club.
Indian Haiku Club 2010 office bearers:
The club was founded In 2002. It elects Haiku poets as its members. Poets from other countries also appointed. Members are elected once a year. Minimum of 20 programmes will be conducted yearly, from 2002 to 2010 poet, critic Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj is acting as its president for 2010 honorary president story writer, poet Sri G,Ranga Babu, Chief secretary sri G.Brahmaji, Assistant Srecretary Sri P.V.Sudhakar,Treasurer Smt.P.Amarajyothi have been elected. Advisiry board members are Dr.K.Balajagannada Rao, Dr.D.V.G.A.Somayajulu,Sri S.Ramu,Sri Tammana Subba Rao, Sri Varahala Setty.
Indian haiku Club Literary meetings:
After its formation in 2002, Indian Haiku Club has organized up to 2010 nearly 70 Literary functions. Poetry Book releasing function, Kavi Sammelanas,Poetry Books,Audio & Video, power point presentations. National level Haiku Seminar, International Haiku Poetry conferences, like it has organized many functions. The first meeting of Haiku club started with publication of collection of Haiku Poetry.
Indian haiku Club Seminars:
Indian Haiku Club has organizing National level Haiku Seminars. Prominent Critics of Haiku poetry give numerous lectures in new trends in haiku poetry. The Club contemplating to conducting not only National level seminars but also regional seminars in future.
Indian Haiku Club Kavisammelanas:
To provide a platform for all Haiku poets to discuss their views among themselves is the chief objective of these kavi sammelanas. It awards prize to best Haiku poems. In 2010 on Telugu New year Day, The club has organized a grand KAVISAMMELANAM
Indian haiku Club Publications:
At present Haiku Club has organized Book releasing function. The main aim is to bring out best Haiku poets by giving critical reviews.

The club is bringing out Haiku Magazine, news letter and haiku collection. The first collection is “Nelavanka” later “Sambodhi”. At National level it brought out “Aratikuteeram”. The club is in the process of bringing out an online Haiku Magazine.

Indian Haiku Club founder President Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj has produced numerous audio and video C.D.s on haiku poetry. His own Haiku poetry with his commentary can be accessed at the popular website you tube.

Indian Haiku Club Associate Organization Athreya Sahithee Sravanthi:
Athreya Sahithee sravanthi is established as an Associate Institution of Indian Haiku Club to propagate athreya’s literature through the world a website www.athreyasahitheesravanthi.com is formed. Every year birth and death anniversary of athreya are celebrated. It is also conducting conferences on literature of other cine poets.

Dr.Talathoti Prtihvi Raj has a special name & fame, in modern literary trend in Telugu poetry. Haiku are new type of poetic expressions, which conveys, bundle of meaning & thoughts with limited, words. The economy of using words in making the poetry a great significant is the characteristic of Haiku, for which Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj is remembered for ever. Haiku indeed has become his sir name. He loved, followed & disseminated haiku in the hearts of Telugu people. Not being content of his literary
Pleasure & thrust, he founded Indian Haiku Club, a literary and cultural organization; and published number of books on Haiku. He started monthly magazine on Haiku. Inspiring many young poets to write Haiku and got them published.
Birth, Origin & Education:
Born to Smt Samrajyam & Satyanandam, of Kavali, in Nellore District on 6th July 1970 . Dr.Prithvi did his primary education in Ravindra Bharathi public school in Addanki. He laid his foundation in primary education under guidance of his beloved teacher Sri Maddulati Master. He prosecuted his higher schooling in prakasam Boys School Guntur

The award of Ph.D for his thesis was passed on by the then Governor Sri Ranga Rajan in 2000. This thesis written by Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj had attained a special significance as it is first of its kind on the eminent script writer Acharya Athreya. Acharya Athreya, is known as compendium of dialogues in the field of script writing. His thesis attracted the attention & received the applause & appreciations of many eminent persons of Telugu film industry like late Sri Kongara Jagayya, Late Sri D.V.Narasa Raju, Late Bollimuntha Srivarama Krishna, Late Sri Gummadi Venkateswara Rao, Dr.D.Rama Naidu, Sri J.K.Bharavi,Sri Akella, Sri Diwakara Babu, Sri Tanikella Bharani and Smt Padmavathi Athreya.
Employment:
Soon after he received his Ph.D,in 2000, he secured job in A.M.A.L.Colleg- Anakapalli as a Telugu Lecturer, by his intellectual and meritorious stand. Since then, he is serving as a lecturer and as a man of noble profession. He participated, in many National & State level seminars, and presented papers on Telugu Literature.
As a Poet:
His Creativity in poetry began springing & sprouting out from X standard on words. The then standard weakly magazine Andhra Sachithra Varapathrika got the credit of having published his first poetic art with that impetus & inspiration, his creative writing picked up fast pace and produced number of poems, short stories, cartoons etc.
Dr.T.Prithvi Raj, when he is doing his B.A. Literature in Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, got inspired and prompted by his Lecturer Dr.Gumma Sambhasiva Rao, resumed his creative writings. Yuva Bharathi programme of All India Radio, Vijayawada
Allured and taken a fancy to cine field, he tried his luck as lyric writer, but on being advised disparagingly by some elders in the field, he was away from that colourful field. Later, after completion of his Ph.D as many as 2000 Haiku were given expression in the form of Greetings

Sureedu Choopuki” are the first Haiku sprouted from his poetic heart and showered moon light in the field of Telugu Literature. Childhood memories were given expressions in Haiku. Vennela, Chinukulu, Vasantham, Rojuko Suryudu, Neelaakaasam, Kaluvalu, Chandra kireeti, Ruthubrahmanam are some of his Haiku Books.And Prithvi Senryu,Prithvi Tankalu,Prithvi Photo Haiku books are related to haiku poetry form; that brought him name and fame. Acharya Athreya literary works MANASUKAVI,ATHREYA NATAKA SAHITHYAM-SABHASHNALU are critical works. MANISHI, NALLADORALU are his long poetry books. MANISHILO is the poetic definition book, ADUGULU is the Naanee poetry book.

Founder of Indian haiku Club:
As many as 70 literary Programmes were organized by the Indian Haiku Club. Which was founded by Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj in 2002. Dr.Prithvi Raj successfully organized all these programmes as a president of Indian Haiku Club. He organized conferences on American Haiku poets Minerva T. Bloom & Paul David Mena

At national Level he organized a seminar on Haiku on 28 may 2006, besides this he had given participation in National seminars and made paper presentations.
Founder of Athreya Sahithee Sravanthi:
Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj Established and founded a Athreya Sahithee Sravanthi;in the name of great script writer, and lyricist writer Acharya Athreya. This organization is auxiliary unit to INDIAN HAIKU CLUB. Every year Prithvi Raj conducts Athreya
Vardhanthi&jayanthi saabhas and on such occassions he arranges Athreya Puraskar Awards. So for cine lyricists Sri Gurucharan,Jaladi were the eminent persons received the sahithee puraskar

The main purpose of establishing Indian Haiku Club, is to honour the eminent persons in the field of literature and to encourage the youngsters who are upcoming in the Literary field. Haiku Award and Naanee awards,Prof.Rokka Radhakrishna Sahithee Puraskaram,Prof.J.M.Naidu Sahithee Puraskaram,Ugadi sahithee Puraskaram,Sankranthi Sahithee Puraskaram are some of the awards established in the name of great personalities and the awards would be presented to deserving candidates. Sri K.Sivareddy,Dr.N.Gopi are the great personalities; were honoured with KAVITHA PRAPOORNA titile by the Haiku Club. Folk lyricist Sri Jaladi, was honoured with JANAPADA SIROMANI title

Andhra Saraswatha Samithi of Machilipatnam awarded Haiku Sahithee Puraskaram and prize money of Rs.2000/-to Dr.T.Prithvi Raj and such honours , awards were plenty in his career.
